The most commonly practiced form of yoga, Hatha Yoga, benefits mental and physical health through Asanas (postures) and Pranayama (breathing) and believes that by engaging in a number of postures, it’s possible to strengthen muscles and add flexibility to the body, whilst at the same time achieving a state of harmony.
Postures range from relaxed lying positions to more challenging twists and bends, which increase strength and flexibility of muscles and joints, while controlled breathing reduces stress and encourages relaxation.
